I was so excited to try Kim’s Makgeolli and was thrilled to meet the master brewer during my visit with my husband, who walked us through each flavour. He and his wife are wonderful, kind people, and made us feel extremely welcome. The Makgeolli itself is *gorgeous*. It has a soft, almost fluffy mouthfeel, and the fruit flavours are bold, sweet, and diverse, yet do not take away from the warm rice-wine flavour at the beverage’s base. My favourite flavour is the strawberry but my husband loved the nutty one—but they are all so wonderful, it’s really hard to pick. (It’s also really hard to make a bottle last; they’re incredibly sippable at just 5%.) I know what I will be buying all of my friends this year for any occasion! Thank you, Kim’s Winery — you’ve got a customer for life!

Picked up several bottles. The Kim’s were so knowledgeable and provided samples of the Makgeolli. While all flavors were excellent the Chestnut was amazing! I’m looking forward to many Korean BBQS this summer while sipping this amazing Makgeolli! Oh did I mention I also picked up the bowls, because that somhow enhances the flavour!

Product was good. I liked how there was a slight fizziness to it and it was very refreshing. I think they did a great job incorporating the flavours on top of the traditional makgeolli taste. I live in Mississauga so it was nice that they were able to delivery, but there was no notification before the driver arrived so I guess you have to be available for the entire delivery window. Hoping to see Kim's Makgeolli on LCBO shelves or available at a more local retailer soon!

We just finished the mango version and it's delightful. Love that it's only 5% and very refreshing. Like a beer and wine combined. Very nice when it's cold -- great summer drink. We're looking forward to diving into the rest (June is for strawberries, right?). Get back to you on those! Super new to us, but love exploring different tastes. Lucked out that it's great.

This is my first time trying makgeolli, and I really enjoyed it! The mango flavour is delicious. I am looking forward to trying the chestnut and original, which are chilling in my fridge. I like that the alcohol percentage of makgeolli is lower than other rice-based wines I’ve tried, and the flavour is much richer. Thank you, Kim family!

I’m so happy I stumbled upon Kim’s Makgeolli! Not only was the makgeolli absolutely delicious, but the owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. While all the flavors are a must-try, the Classic, Mango, and Strawberry were my personal favorites. It’s a total gem—highly recommend!

Being a "newbie" to the world of Sojus and Makgeollis, I find that the Kim's Makgeolli tastes a little sweeter and has a little less of that unique Makgeolli (rice/nuruk) taste which I like very much personally. The flavoured Makgeollis are quite unique and I really enjoy them. Also, learning that it is a local brewery from the GTA, I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect drink for the holiday season. Has a nice chestnut flavour along with a hint of cinnamon. I drink it chilled but makes ya feel warm and fuzzy! Highly recommend!

It was my first time trying Kim’s makgeolli. I tried the original, mango, and chestnut, and I liked the chestnut the most because of its rich and deep flavor. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Korean alcohol. 😊

Unexpectedly delicious!!! Never would have thought mango flavoured makgeolli would be my thing!! The rich creaminess of it, the sweetness level, all work very well for my taste buds! I think it’s definitely worth giving it a shot if you have yet to try it. Good job!!!

Kim's Makgeolli is my personal best discovery in 2025! Apart from being simply delicious, it’s also a high-quality rice wine made from natural ingredients. You can tell the quality from the very first sip! I tried four flavors - the original, strawberry, mango and ginger-cinnamon - and it's hard to pick the winner as they are equally good. Each one has its own twist but they're all creamy, slightly fizzy, refreshing and extremely smooth. Kim's Makgeolli is not your regular wine - it's full of character and incredibly easy to drink! I enjoy Makgeolli as a tasty dessert drink, but it goes great with food too. Discovered Kim's Makgeolli by chance, and now it has become my family’s favorite drink.

The ginger flavour is my favourite of the three. I was very surprised at the flavour as I had a different expectation of how it would taste and it was quite delicious. The mango flavour was very smooth & tue strawberry reminded me of a milkshake.

This mango flavour is so authentic and truly just so delicious! Once you have one cup you’ll definitely be circling back for a couple more… that being said if I knew any better I would’ve gotten 3 bottles

Kim’s Makgeolli is delicious. I’m glad I got the party pack to try all the flavours. I haven’t gotten through them all yet but am looking forward to my next order with all my faves.

I was very surprised by how much I loved even the original flavour! My favourite by far is the cinnamon and ginger; it tastes like liquid cinnamon spread!! And I appreciate the real fruit flavours in the mango and strawberry so they don’t have that fake fruit flavouring.
The bowls are a really nice touch too. I’m definitely reordering more bottles of my favs.
