This traditional Korean-style bowl is perfect for serving up your favorite rice wine, just like we do in Korea. In Korea, using bowls for drinking makgeolli has been a tradition for centuries, dating back to ancient times.

Using a shallow bowl for makgeolli allows for the sediments to mix more easily. It's easier to gently swirl and mix the makgeolli, ensuring that any settled sediments are evenly distributed throughout the drink. This helps maintain a consistent flavor and texture with each sip, as well as allowing for better appreciation of the aroma and flavor of makgeolli. Made with authentic materials, it's a must-have for any makgeolli lover's collection. Please note that this makgeolli serving bowl is not dishwasher safe and should be hand washed only. We recommend gentle hand washing with mild soap and warm water to preserve its traditional craftsmanship and ensure its longevity.

Shipping/Local Delivery

We offer local delivery in Toronto and nearby areas such as Markham, Mississauga, Brampton, Aurora, Oakville, and Burlington. However, extended areas may have an added delivery fee, since we are a small family business and don't have a large delivery team.

Our local delivery days are Mon/Wed/Fri between 12pm-6pm. You can select your preferred date and time in the cart before checkout.

We also offer Ontario-wide shipping options via Canada Post and UPS. Due to the cost of shipping in durable protective packaging to keep bottles safe, we have subsidized the cost as much as we can but as a small family business we are unable to offer free shipping at this time 🥺

Kim's Seng Makgeolli Original is a fresh, unpasteurized product that needs to be refrigerated at all times, so this product cannot be shipped via Canada Post. It can only be delivered within our local delivery areas, sorry! 🥲

This is my first time trying makgeolli, and I really enjoyed it! The mango flavour is delicious. I am looking forward to trying the chestnut and original, which are chilling in my fridge. I like that the alcohol percentage of makgeolli is lower than other rice-based wines I’ve tried, and the flavour is much richer. Thank you, Kim family!

Being a "newbie" to the world of Sojus and Makgeollis, I find that the Kim's Makgeolli tastes a little sweeter and has a little less of that unique Makgeolli (rice/nuruk) taste which I like very much personally. The flavoured Makgeollis are quite unique and I really enjoy them. Also, learning that it is a local brewery from the GTA, I would definitely recommend it.
